IDMG Recipient Verification Diagnostic

Simulates how IDMG gateway queries IDMBX to verify valid recipient mailboxes before accepting incoming SMTP sessions.

HTTPS Auto-Redirect: Enabled (Port 80 ➔ Port 443)

Issue Let's Encrypt Certificate

Execute Certbot HTTP-01 challenge automatically to generate trusted TLS certificate.

One certificate per hostname, selected automatically by SNI for web, IMAP, POP3 and SMTP. Each hostname's DNS must point to this server (port 80 reachable).

Multi-Domain Certificates

All hostnames with their own certificate, selected automatically by SNI.

IDMG (Intelligent Mail Gateway) Link & Relays

Multi-Relay Outbound Gateways (Primary + Failover) & Inbound LMTP Delivery Pipeline

Gateway High Availability Architecture

2. IDMG Gateway(s) Local (127.0.0.1) & Remote Failover

3. IDMBX Storage LMTP Port 2424 (Clean)

Dual Gateway Architecture Overview:

  • Outbound Relay (HA Failover): IDMBX submits outgoing emails to the Primary IDMG (Local 127.0.0.1:587). If unavailable, IDMBX automatically fails over to the Secondary IDMG (Remote 103.142.214.76:587) for DKIM auto-signing & direct internet dispatch.
  • Inbound Clean Delivery: IDMG filters incoming mail (SPF / DKIM / ClamAV) and hands sanitized messages to IDMBX on LMTP port 2424.
  • Internal Submission: Mail clients connect to IDMBX on Submission port 465 (SSL/TLS) or Webmail (port 8080).

Inbound LMTP & Recipient Verification

Port 2424 Active

Configure security whitelists for incoming mail deliveries from IDMG gateways.

Only incoming LMTP connections from these IP addresses are accepted for mailbox delivery.

Test Recipient Verification API

Simulate IDMG verifying whether an email mailbox exists before accepting incoming SMTP traffic.

Upload & Storage Limits Configuration

Set global upload size limits for attachments, total email payload, allowed/blocked file extensions, and default mailbox quotas

Global Attachment & Message Restrictions

These limits apply across Webmail compose uploads and SMTP submission to protect bandwidth, storage, and deliverability.

Maximum file size for each uploaded attachment (e.g. 25 MB)
Total message size including body and all attachments (e.g. 50 MB)
Maximum number of attachments allowed per email (Default: 20)
Default disk storage quota for newly created user accounts (5120 MB = 5 GB)
Prohibited executable/script file extensions that are blocked from being uploaded or relayed.
If specified, only files matching this whitelist will be allowed. Leave blank for standard open policy.

Security & Audit

Login/logout trail and active sessions. Use this to spot suspicious access and revoke hijacked sessions.

Session & Login Protection

Policies that mitigate session hijack and brute-force attacks.

0 disables lockout.

Backup

Create archives (.tar.gz) before migration, upgrades or maintenance. Stored in data/backups on the server.

FileScopeSizeCreated

Restore overlays the archive onto the data directory (files not in the archive are kept) after saving a safety backup of the current state; the service restarts so the restored data is loaded. Download backups off the server for safekeeping; archives contain password hashes and private keys.

Zimbra & Mail Server Migration Engine

Import organization metadata, domains, accounts, milis/groups, aliases, and perform live multi-worker IMAP mailbox synchronization.

Automatic Zimbra / CSV Metadata Provisioning

Paste output from Zimbra CLI (zmprov gad, zmprov -l gaa, zmprov gadl, zmprov ga) or standard CSV format. IDMBX will automatically create hosted domains, user mailboxes, distribution groups, and email aliases.

Used for accounts where source password hash is not directly transferable
